We Do Stuff ("we," "our," or "us"), operated by Fifth Current (fifthcurrent.com), is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our focus session and productivity platform.

Payment Information

Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details. We only store your Stripe customer ID and subscription status.

  • IP address (for security and fraud prevention)

5. AI Processing Disclosure

Important: When you use our AI features (Ori assistant, task breakdowns, smart suggestions), your input is processed by Anthropic's Claude AI service. This means:

  • Your task descriptions and messages are sent to Anthropic's servers in the United States
  • Anthropic processes this data according to their privacy policy
  • We store conversation history to provide continuity in your AI interactions
  • Anthropic does not use your data to train their models

By using AI features, you consent to this data processing. You can avoid sharing data with Anthropic by not using AI-powered features.

6. App-Specific Data Practices

We Do Stuff includes two applications with different data practices:

When Using Focus

Focus is our productivity and body-doubling app with AI features. When you use Focus:

  • AI Assistant (Ori): Your task descriptions and chat messages are sent to Anthropic for AI processing
  • Behavioral Profiling: We analyze your usage patterns to provide personalized suggestions (Pro users)
  • Session Data: Focus session details, duration, and completion status are stored
  • Mood/Energy Tracking: Optional wellness indicators you select are stored
  • Gamification: Points, streaks, and achievements are tracked
  • Chat History: AI conversations are retained for 90 days, then auto-pruned

Opt-out: You can disable all AI features in your profile settings via the "AI Features" toggle. When disabled, no data is sent to Anthropic.

When Using Stuff

Stuff is our event planning and coordination app. When you use Stuff:

  • Phone Numbers: When you invite others via SMS, their phone numbers are collected and sent to Twilio for message delivery
  • Email Addresses: When you invite others via email, their addresses are sent to Resend for delivery
  • Location Data: Saved locations and their usage frequency are stored for convenience
  • Connection Visibility: You control which connections can see your activity
  • Event Data: Event details, voting preferences, and participation are stored

Note: Stuff does not use AI features. Your event data is not sent to any AI service.

8. International Data Transfers

Our services are primarily hosted in the United States. If you are accessing our Service from outside the United States, your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

  • EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF): Our key processors (Stripe, Vercel) are certified under the DPF.
  • Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs): We have executed SCCs with sub-processors not certified under the DPF.
